Waiting (Edgar Degas)

Title: Waiting

Author: Edgar Degas

Period: 1980-1982

Movement: Ipressionism

Technique: Pastel

In this painting we can see two women sitting on a bench, and they both are of middle class. This work is regarded for it's vibrant colour and steep perspective.
In this painting, Edgar Degas uses short and thick strokes of paint, he applies the colours from side to side (horizontaly), and he plays with the natural light. Many painters of impressionism use this techniques.
