The National Library of Belarus its located in Minsk, It  was founded on September 15, 1922, and is the third library in the world for books in Russian language. It is the legal deposit of all works published in the Republic of Belarus. Its a rhombicuboctahedron-shaped building, to entertain and attract tourists thanks to its beautiful and interesting shape. The construction of the building started in November 2002 and completed in January 2006. The height of the building is 73.6 metres (241.5 feet) and weight is 115 000 tones (not including books). The building has 23 floors. The National Library of Belarus is the main information and cultural centre of the country. Its depository collections include about 10 million items of various media.
