Buildings

This work was made by Carlos Suárez and Carlos Pérez 3ºD
Carlos Pérez:
RESEARCH AND INVESTIGATION CENTRE
It was built in 1994 by the architect Ricardo Legorreta, in order to group all the artistic schools of Mexico City, where this bulding is located. This bulding has two parts: one of them being cylinder-shaped and the other one being prism-shaped. Although it looks like two different estructures, they are actually united by a corridor in the middle.

I chose this bulding because it looks beautiful for me, because it is very showy, and I think its function is great, as it is used to teach art to the people.

Carlos Suárez:
Castle of Hunyad
The tower on the left is cylinder-shaped and its roof is cone shaped, while the tower that is in the right at the front is prism-shaped and its roof is pyramid shaped.

The castle of Hunyad was built between the years 1307 and 1315 by Carlos I of Hungary, to serve as residence. It is located in Hunedoara, in Transylvania (Rumania). It also was used as prison. Nowadays, it is used as a museum.

I chose this building because I think that is interesting from an architectonic point of vision, I also like the style and all the different shapes it is composed of.

The author of this structure is unknown, it is built in gothic style and it is made of stone.
