MUSEMUM OF WORLD CULTURE AND NATURAL HISTORY

SCULPTURE:

The National Museums of World Culture was established in 1999 as the result of a national initiative to link the international museum collections in Sweden to the globalization process. The organization consists of four museums; The Museum Ethnography, the Museum of Far-Eastern Antiquities, the Museum of Mediterranean and Near-Eastern Antiquities and the Museum of World Culture. Together we host about 400.000 objects from all over the world including China, Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia in Archaeological, Ethnographical and Art Historical collections.

AUTHOR:

Daniel Libeskind is an American architect of Jewish-Polish origin. He was born in Łódź, in post-war Poland. He studied music in Israel and New York, and became a virtuoso performer. However, he decided to abandon music and devote himself to architecture. He studied first at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York, and subsequently obtained a post-graduate degree at the University of Essex, in England. At age 21 Libeskind acquired the American nationality.
