Hangover:  The Drinker  ( Suzanna Valadon )

Title:   Hangover ( The Drinker ).
Painted in oil and chalk on canvas. The sitter was Suzanne Valadon, a French painter.  She modeled for Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, who gave her painting lessons. Painted in 1888.

 Author: Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec
             (Born Nov. 24, 1864,  Albi, France — died Sept. 9, 1901, Malromé)

When he was 12, he broke his left leg and  at 14 his right leg. The bones don’t heal properly and his legs stopped growing.  During his convalescence, he studied with French academic painters.

He observed and painted the Parisian nightlife and the French world of entertainment in the 1890s. His use of free-flowing, expressive line, resulted in highly rhythmical compositions. The extreme simplification in outline and movement and the use of large color areas make his posters some of his most powerful works.

PAUL CEZANNE: Still-life with apples

PAUL CÉZANNE

·My picture is called: Still- life with apples.

·It was painted by: Paul Cézanne.

Paul Cezanne (1839–1906) was a French artist and Post- Impressionist painter whose work laid the foundations of the transition from the 19th-century conception of artistic endeavour to a new and radically different world of art in the 20th century. Cézanne's often repetitive, exploratory brushstrokes are highly characteristic and clearly recognizable. He used planes of colour and small brushstrokes that build up to form complex fields. The paintings convey Cézanne's intense study of his subjects.
Cézanne can be said to form the bridge between late 19th-centuryImpressionism and the early 20th century's new line of artistic enquiry,Cubism. Both Matise and Picaso are said to have remarked that Cézanne "is the father of us all."

Claude Monet: Flowers on the bank of Seine near vetheuil

CLAUDE MONET:

My image is called: Flowers on the bank of Seine near Vetheuil.

It was painted by: Claude Monet.

Claude Monet (1840-1926) was the primary inspiration for the new art movement of impressionism. Along with his contemporaries, he captured the light of nature on canvass in a unique, spontaneous and vivacious style. He painted a wide range of subjects ranging from urban scenes to his own beloved formal garden. Monet strove to capture the essence of what he saw in nature, without being constrained by formal ideas of style and substance.

ABOUT PAINTERS GEORGES SEURAT

Georges Seurat was born on December 2 in 1859 in Paris. After training at the École des Beaux Arts, he broke free of tradition. Taking his technique a step beyond Impressionism,he painted with small strokes of pure colour that seem to blend when viewed from a distance. This method was called Pointillism, is showcased in major of works of the 1880s.Seurat´s career was cut shot when he died of illness on March 29 in 1891 in Paris. He was a post-impressionism artist.

Characteristics of Seurat Paintings

The technique of Seurat consists of using tiny dabbing brushstrokes or dots of pigment, instead of the variable short Brushstrokes which are more characteristic of mainstream impressionist painting. He established a method of mixing colours directly in the canvas, Seurat placed his tiny points of unmixed color so closet o each other that they look like if they were mixed. This produced a certain optical special effect. Seurat´s paintings have a play of moving lights, colours and shadows. The surface of his canvases is accordingly vibrant. We can see these characteristics in the painting that I engrave.

In February 1890 she gave birth to this son. It was not until two days before his dead that he introduced his young family to his parentes. Shortily after his dead, Madeline gave birth to her second son whose name is unknown and who died at birth or soon after. He died on March 29, 1891 in Paris, France, George died When I was 31 years old by an infeccious disease called diphtheria. He don´t mix the colours, and he don´t use a contorn to delimit the objet. He painted Rest from work or Noon in 1890. He used bright colours to Paint.
The peaceful nature of the midday rest. They are blue and yellow colours..

We can see it in Museé d´Orsay,Paris. France.

Post-Impressionism was the style that developed reacted against Impressionism. Post-Impressionism is situated in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Similarities between both Impressionists and Post-Impressionists are: a real-life subject, distinctive brushstrokes, thick layers of paint and vivid colors.Post-Impressionism is characterized by bright color, sharp, often outlined edges The main difference between both styles is that Post-Impressionism aimed to attain more form, as well as more expression and emotion into their paintings.

Other post-impressionistic painters are: Cezanne and Paul Gauguin
