In this picture we can see Rhone’s river and at the bottom we can see part
of a town. Also there’s a ship more or less on the middle of this picture and close
to it there’s a couple.
The colors are mostly blue and orange, which are complementary colors and
makes a huge contrast in the picture.The used of different types of blue, makes the picture dark while the used
of orange makes it bright.
Lights are so important in this picture, on one hand
there are many stars which light the sky and on the other hand there’re many lights
on the town’s houses which are projected to the sea, and makes some shades, like
the ones from the ship.
This picture is made with lines. On the water Van Gogh has used in some
parts diagonal lines, in other vertical lines or horizontal lines so that we can
see the movement of the water.
