GEORGE SEURAT

My painting is called boy wearing hat. His author is Georges-Pierre Seurat. It was a French pointillist and the founder of neo-impressionism.His first painting was Bañistas en Asnierès. His work A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte is one of the icons of the nineteenth century painting. Georges born in Paris, France on December 2 of 1859 in rich family.Georges Seurat first studied art with Justin Lequiene, a sculptor. Seurat attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in 1878 and 1879.He shared a small studio on the Left Bank with two student friends. In 1885 he moved from the Boulevard the Clichy to a quieter studio nearby, where he lived secretly with a young model, Madeline Knobloch. In February 1890 she gave birth to this son. It was not until two days before his dead that he introduced his young family to his parentes. Shortily after his dead, Madeline gave birth to her second son whose name is unknown and who died at birth or soon after. He died on March 29, 1891 in Paris, France, George died When I was 31 years old by an infeccious disease called diphtheria. He don´t mix the colours, and he don´t use a contorn to delimit the objet. And he don´t use the colour black to reflect it.

MOVEMENT: Impresionism.
TECHNIQUE: He can be the most contradictory of all the artists of his time. Although he was   considered a controversial and rebellious character. It is not easy to define his style, but a quality occurs. Fatures that zoom in and out impressionism. Differences with impressionism:
I. No employs juxtaposed brushstroke, divided
II. Used as main black, specially in its first stage. It is a color of impressionism banished.
III. He always refused to participate in the impressionism exhibitions, because he believed he had to succeed in the officia l salon.

CHARACTHERISTICS OF IMPRESSIONISM: the strokes are very distinctive, the lighting is so important, they play with lights and shadows, they use a pure color, they are painted en plein air etc.

TOULOUSE LAUTREC

He used to paint indoor drawings, specially with artificial light. He did not like to paint landscape scenes. He was asked to produce posters for some well known cabarets. He enjoyed very much this kind of jobs and was as famous for them, that  he was able to sell some of his drawings during his life.
He painted some drawings of the dancer Jane Avril, one of his best friends, the singer Yvette Guilbert and another dancer called Louise Weber.
In London he met and painted a famous portrait of Oscar Wilde
