the golden number

Cálculo del valor del número áureo
Dos números a y b están en proporción áurea si se cumple: \frac{a+b}a=\frac ab
Si al número menor (b) le asignamos el valor 1, la igualdad será: \frac{a + 1}{a} = a
multiplicando ambos miembros por a, obtenemos:  a + 1 = a^2 \;
reordenamos:  a^2 - a - 1 = 0 \;
An example of the golden ratio in architecture is the rosette of the Cathedral of Santa Maria de Palma de Mallorca in Spain, also known as the Eye of Gothic construction being Gothic, has been cited as the world's largest Gothic in reference and allusion to the dimensions of the glass surface. Measured between 12.8 and 13.8 meters in diameter and has nearly 100 square meters. It is composed of 1,236 crystals. It was built in 1370 and was subsequently stained glass windows were added in the sixteenth century. Other features of this huge rosette are the perfect Star of David made up of 24 triangles that its tracery drawn on it and its peculiar location being situated on the main sanctuary and not the feet as usual. Throughout history, the rose has had to be replaced on several occasions, the last time by the fall of a bomb in the palace of La Almudaina during the civil war.

Indie Music, by Cova Grau

Independent music, often shortened to indie music or "indie" is a term used to describe independence from major commercial record labels or their subsidiaries, and an autonomous aproach recording and publishing.
Indie pop refers to music based indie conventions of pop music. Because the term indie rock sometimes covers the whole indie music in general, the indie pop can be considered a subgenre of indie rock. The indie pop is pop music that moves beyond the boundaries of conventional pop music.
I'll talk a little about those who are in my opinion the best indie bands, national and British bands that I like. In Spain, on the 80, during the famous "Movida Madrileña" is created the first independent groups, but in my opinion is now that the Spanish indie bands really stand out within the national indie pop, I have to name groups like Vetusta Morla , Love of Lesbian, The Sunday Drivers and Lori Meyers. I found these groups really originals and I had the opportunity of seeing Vetusta Morla on live and they don´t left me indifferent, they are really great.
The British indie artists are in my opinion very good too, but I feel a weakness for Spanish music. Although the name given in Britain to this genre is usually rock or alternative pop.in my opinion, include such famous groups as Coldplay, some less known as Travis or Keane or artists who are making known online as Lana del Rey, I find incredible groups and that people should start listening, because I really recommend and songs are very touching.

Golden number, by Cova Grau

The number of gold, also known as golden section or golden ratio coexist with humanity because it appears in nature and since Greek times to the present day in art and design. The golden ratio appears in the proportions that keep buildings, sculptures, objects, parts of our body, ... An example of the golden rectangle in art is the elevation of the Greek Parthenon. A harmonious proportions of the body, which studied the Greeks and Romans in an earlier period, reflected in this drawing Leonardo da Vinci. It served to illustrate the book The Divine Proportion Luca Pacioli published in 1509. In this book are described which have to be the proportions of the art constructions. In particular, offers a perfect man in the relations between different parts of your body are golden proportions.

Doodles

Doodles are icons of google that commemorate special events like Christmas, St.Patrick´s Day,... There are lots of Doodles, sometimes 4 or 5 per day, because in each country there is a different doodle. You can see all doodles here.

Some examples:

Dennis Hwang had done the most part of doodles. Here there is an interview where he explains the process to make a doodle.

Juan Gris´125th birthday

Today,Google's doodle features stylized representations of musical instruments - familiar components of Gris's surrealistic vocabulary.

JUAN GRIS
Gris was born José Victoriano Carmelo Carlos González-Pérez in Madrid on 23 March 1887. After studying art in Spain he moved to Paris in 1906 where he became a friend and contemporary of artists including Henri Matisse and Amodeo Modigliani.
By 1910 he had developed his own cubist style. His work typically featured jagged and angular arrangements of objects or people painted using a palette of muted tones.
An important figure in Spanish painting before and after the First World War, the artist Juan Gris is considered the Third Member of Cubism,  after Pablo Picasso and George Braque, although he remains greatly overshadowed by his more famous colleagues. Gris worked his way through analytical and synthetic Cubism, to create his own unique and colourful style, but it was his highly intellectual approach to his work that established him as the greatest theorist among the Cubist painters. This alone secures his place as a leading figure in the history of artin the early 20th century. Also significantly influenced by Fauvism art, his best known work is Portrait of Picasso (1912, Art Institute of Chicago). Gris is regarded as one of the great abstract painters of the early 20th century. Noted in particular for his Cubist-style still life painting, his best known works include: Portrait of Picasso (1912, Art Institute of Chicago), Violin And Checkerboard (1913, Private Collection), The Sunblind (1914, Tate Collection, London), Portrait of Josette (1916, Reina Sofia Museum, Madrid), Violin (1916, Kunstmuseum, Basel), Harlequin with Guitar (1919, Private Collection), The View Across the Bay (1921, National Museum of Modern Art, Paris). A number of his paintings and prints are available online in the form of poster art. Married with a son, Gris died in 1927 at the age of 40 after suffering from chronic kidney failure

Gris, whose painting Violon et guitare sold for $28.6m at auction in New York in 2010, was also acquainted with fellow Spaniard Picasso, who he regarded as a teacher. His 1912 Portrait of Picasso is claimed to be the first cubist work not painted by Picasso or the French painter Georges Braque, The Guardian says.

GOLDEN NUMBER

The golden number is represented by the Lumber phi from the Old Greece: 3’1416…
the golden number o the golden ratio is represent in the Parthenon of Athenas in Greece.
In some faces of these building we can see the famous golden rectangles.
Lots of mathematics studied and investigated a lot of this number, but it just an interesting irrational number in connection in the middle and extreme ratios.
But this number is not only represented in building or in human’s manufractures, you can find it in the nature too.
For example the golden number is expose in the arrangenment of the trunks and branches of trees.
In our body, you can see relevations of the golden number: in the nervious system and the bone’s system.

The golden number, also known as the golden ratio is ussualy repressent by the greek letter phi , it appears in the nature and in the art and design. The objects that are in golden ratio ussualy are beautiful.
We obtain the golden number (1.61803399):
from the division of two number, for example a:b, providing that the relationship between the segment "a + b" is the same as the relationship between "a" and "b".

IN NATURE
We found it in:
  • The disposition of the petals of the flowers
  • The relation between the thickness of the principal branches and the trunk
  • The quantity of petals of the flowers
  • And more cases

IN THE ART
We found it in:
  • Relations in the form of Gizeh's Great Pyramid
  • The relations between the joints in the man of Vitrubio (perfect man) and in other Leonardo's works Da Vinci.
  • And more cases

The golden number

The Golden Number is represented by the greek letter phi.
Many of the proportions of the Parthenon are alleged to exhibit the golden ratio. The Parthenon's facade as well as elements of its facade and elsewhere are said by some to be circumscribed by golden rectangles. Greek mathematician merely regarded that number as an interesting irrational number, in connection with the middle and extreme ratios. Its occurrence in regular pentagons and decagons was duly observed, as well as in the dodecahedron (a regular polyhedron whose twelve faces are regular pentagons).
In nature the golden ratio expressed in the arrangement of branches along the stems of plants and of veins in leaves. He extended his research to the skeletons of animals and the branchings of their veins and nerves, to the proportions of chemical compounds and the geometry of crystals.

There are two theories about we can organize the different colour:
1. Physicists explain colour as a function of light. This is the Additive model. White light was first proven to contain all of the colours by the physicist Sir Isaac. The light primaries are different from the pigment primaries. The secondaries colours are red, green and purple. The primaries colours are magenta, cyan and yellow.
2. When you want to pain with pigments, you use the subtractive model, in other words, the CMYK model, CYAN,MAGENTA, YELLOW and BLACK, the colour that results of mixing all of them.

CYAN + YELLOW = GREEN
YELLOW + MAGENTA = RED
MAGENTA + CYAN = PURPLE
MORE CYAN + MAGENTA = INDIGO
MORE MAGENTA + CYAN = MAUVE
YELLOW + MAGENTA + CYAN = BLACK

Primary and Additive colours.

Primary colors are sets of colors that can be combined to make a useful range of colors. For human applications, three primary colors are usually used, since human colour vision is trichromatic. There are cyan , yellow and magenta:

■Additive colour describes the situation where colour is created by mixing the visible light emitted from differently colored light sources. This is in contrast to subtractive colour where light is removed from various part of the visible spectrum to create colours.

The golden Number.

-The golden number is represented by the Greedl letterφ or Φis an irrational number: 2

-In mathematics and  arts, two quantities are in the golden ratio if the ratio of the sum of the quantities to the larger quantity is equal to the ratio of the larger quantity to the smaller one. The figure on the right illustrates the geometric relationship. Expressed algebraically:

-The golden ratio has been used since Egyptian times for the construction of buildings, though, are the Greeks use: who exploited it to maximum use in all facets of art. Here are some examples of this:

+The first known use of the golden ratio appears in building the pyramid of Cheops, dating from 2600 BC.

+An example of a golden rectangle in art is the elevation of the Greek Parthenon.

-The golden ratio arises from the division into two of a segmentstoring the following proportions: total length a + b is the longestsegm.ento is accommodative to the shorter segment b.

NUMERO AUREO

The color

Primary colors are sets of colors that can be combined to make a useful range of colors.
The primary colors are Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. The combination of any two primary colors creates a secondary color.
The most commonly used additive color primaries are the secondary color of the most commonly used subtractive color primaries, and vice versa.

Mixing yellow and cyan produces green colors; mixing yellow with magenta produces reds, and mixing magenta with cyan produces blues. In theory, mixing equal amounts of all three pigments should produce grey, resulting in black when all three are applied in sufficient density, but in practice they tend to produce muddy brown colors. For this reason, and to save ink and decrease drying times, a fourth pigment, black, is often used in addition to cyan, magenta, and yellow.

File:SubtractiveColor.svg

File:BYR color wheel.svg

Using red, yellow, and blue as primaries yields a relatively small gamut, in which, among other problems, colorful greens, cyans, and magentas are impossible to mix, because red, yellow, and blue are not well-spaced around a perceptually uniform color wheel. For this reason, modern three- or four-color printing processes, as well as color photography, use cyan, yellow, and magenta as primaries instead. Most painters include colors in their palettes which cannot be mixed from yellow, red, and blue paints. Some who do use a three-color palette opt for the more evenly spaced cyan, yellow, and magenta used by printers, and others paint with 6 or more colors to widen their gamuts. The cyan, magenta, and yellow used in printing are sometimes known as "process blue," "process red," and "process yellow."

Solid black.svg

Black is the color of objects that do not emit or reflect light in any part of the visible spectrum; they absorb all such frequencies of light. Although black is sometimes described as an "achromatic", or hueless, color, in practice it can be considered a color, as in expressions like "black cat" or "black paint".

White is a color, the perception of which is evoked by light that stimulates all three types of color sensitive cone cells in the human eye in nearly equal amounts and with high brightness compared to the surroundings. A white visual stimulation will be void of hue and grayness.
